Waste-to-Wellness
The fast paced heartbeat of New York City is a strong, powerful, and overwhelming experience, and it is easy to get lost in the constant movement and noise. Waste-to-Wellness becomes a pause from this chaos, a space for environmental and personal wellbeing and a moment to become grounded in the site. Through combining Waste-to-Energy processes with Social Connection and Social Disconnection programs of parks, terraces, pools, and sensorial experiences, this project creates a pause from the city, that fosters a reconnection with yourself, others, and the city itself.
